My Awesome Compilation - 'The View is Amazing' (Sore Point) Released 21/06/04

There’s very little to be said about My Awesome Compilation. Neither is this a compilation, nor particularly awesome.

My Awesome Compilation are four handsome young guns who, although from Leicester, clearly wish they were from San Diego where this mini-LP was recorded. Cut from the same cloth as The Get Up Kids and lesser Jimmy Eat World tracks, (a few keyboard noodlings aside) these melodic-hardcore/emo-punksters manage to sound exactly the same as a million other things which all sound exactly the same as each other. Catchy and impassioned, it’ll no doubt bring joy to many large-trousered youngsters.

Not for everyone, but fine within its field, allegedly.
