More Winnebago Deal

Raw garage rock sizzlers about being on the run and the sinister side of society, are about as original as a Frank Skinner wisecrack. However, opinions might change if you were to be informed that such a noise that would have the ex members of Slipknot banging on walls pleading; “Will you freakin’ quieten down, we can’t hear ourselves think?” is created by two humble cockney guys.
Opener ‘Manhunt’ is garage rock at it’s most sinister and succinct consisting of blunt and catchy lyrics, with the accompaniment of ripping guitars and smashing percussion. Drummer Ben Thomas has received compliments from none other than Mr. Dave Grohl himself; his contribution certainly lifts things up a level.
Just when you think they cannot keep up the pace fro the whole seven tracks on this searing mini-album, the lacerating Londoners take on a metal edge in ‘Harold’s Dewlaps’ and ‘Nitro Ground Shaker’ having a ‘Spineshank’ meets ‘ The Lost Prophets’ feel with a hint of grunge for good measure, just to keep you on your toes. By all accounts Winnebago Deal are even louder and produce a more frenetic sound live having recently blown away Brighton as part of the Radio 1 event down there. This is perhaps an act you have to see in order to believe!
