Rock legends hit the red carpet for film premiere

31 January, 2013: Who turned out to the Los Angeles premiere of Dave Grohl's Sound City documentary? Only some of the biggest names in rock and roll, that's all.
Grohl was joined on the red carpet at the Hollywood Dome in LA by members of Garbage, No Doubt, Foo Fighters, Nirvana and even Fleetwood Mac. Not a bad turn out, all things considered.
The film showcases the amazing history of the studio through interviews and demonstrations of the board being used exclusively for the film.
Directing debutant, Grohl said: "As a first time director, I am humbled to be able to share my passion for songwriting and storytelling with this incredible cast of legendary musicians, as seen through the extraordinary story of America's greatest unsung recording studio, Sound City."
