Ahead of Ellie Goulding's album release next week, the British pop good-girl was keen to clarify that she has always been a rebel. Claims were made that she has changed since her relationship with American superstar DJ Skrillex started but she was keen to point out this was not the case.
Of course Goulding is not the only girl in music who has admitted to having a dark past. Lana Del Rey recently revealed a hard-drinking past and there's plenty more stories of debauchery, drink and drugs from many a squeaky-clean pop artist.
Whether it be dealing with drink and drugs problems or even learning how to grow up on the tough streets of Hackney and becoming streetwise, some of pop's biggest names have chequered pasts.
