Robbie Williams has today announced the birth of his first child, daughter Theodora Rose (Teddy for short). He tweeted the news to fans, revealing that he, wife Ayda Field and daughter were 'rockin' after the birth.

"Praise be, it's Theodora Rose Williams, affectionately known as Teddy... Born 3.33pm on 18.9.12, 7lbs 4oz," he tweeted.

"Baby, Mummy and Daddy are all rockin...Thank you for your best wishes."

Gary Barlow sent a message of congratulations to Robbie, tweeting: "Massive congrats Rob and Ayda. So happy for you."

So while we're sure Gary will be on hand to offer Robbie some much needed advice on his new role as a dad, who else in the music world can Robbie turn to for advice on changing nappies and sponging baby sick out of his designer clothes. Members of Kasabian, both Gallagher brothers, Slash, Anthony Kiedis of Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more hard rockers have years of experience of parenthood and will surely act as inspiration for wannabe rocker Robbie on how to balance career and parenting duties.
