Joe McElderry's stalker: not exactly the all-time scariest

Check out some REALLY messed up fans

  • Joe McElderry: The X Factor winner was harassed by Ennis McBride, who was convicted on 11 September 2012 of stalking the star. It wasn't the most horrific case of all time - McBride interrupted the singer in the bath and attempted to give him some opera CDs.

This week, a man was found guilty of stalking X Factor winner Joe McElderry. It wasn't the scariest stalking experience in music history however - Ennis McBride was accused of interrupting the singer in the bath and showing up at his house on Christmas ever like a bad Santa.

X-Factor winner Joe McElderry said in court this week that he was left "shaken and confused" by a man accused of stalking him and his mother. McElderry was giving evidence at the trial of Ennis McBride, 52, from Stockport, who denies the charge of harassment, The Sun reports.

McBride is accused of turning up at McElderry's house on several occasions and sending him abusive Tweets.

From a woman believing she was married to Usher to the woman who broke into the home of The Beatles' George Harrison, stalkers happen to all artists of all genres. Even Leona Lewis suffered at the hands of a stalker - when a man queued up at a book signing in London, only to punch the singer in the face.
