Florence + The Machine and The xx capped day one of Bestival, a day of blazing sunshine and musical treats.
Headlining her firt big festival, Florence wore an attention grabbing green outfit for her night time slot on the Isle of Wight. The xx played directly before her, warming up for the release of their second album 'Coexist' on Monday (September 10).
Elsewhere throughout the day there were performances from Warpaint, Gallows, First Aid kit, Adam Ant and chart topper Emeli Sande.
Today (Saturday, Sept 8) will bring New Order to Bestival with Two Door Cinema Club and Justice also playing.
