Lady Gaga, Pink Floyd and many more

  • Pussy Riot found guilty by Russian court: The all-female punk trio have been found guilty of ''hooliganism motivated by religious hatred'', and have been sentenced to two years in prison. This result was expected, as the judge presiding over the case has only acquitted one of 178 similar cases in the last three years.

It's been a busy week for news - and it all started with the Olympic closing ceremony.

Various performances sparked reactions of anger (George Michael performing his new single), delight (The Spice Girls) and straight up confusion (Ed Sheeran performing his 'new' song - the 1975 Pink Floyd hit, 'Wish You Were Here'). Either way, there's been plenty of stories in the aftermath of the massive concert.

There's political and social uproar with regard to the plght of feminist Russian punks 'Pussy Riot', and there's been a couple of massive lawsuits filed during the last few days. Per usual, Gaga's been making waves this week, but to find out what for, you'll have to click through our music headlines of the week round up...
