Noel Gallagher to scrap new collaboration album?

High Flying Birds star uhappy with Amorphous Androgynous record, says 'moment has passed'

  • Liam on Noel:
  • Liam on Noel: "I''''ve heard his fucking new record cos I fucking sung on half of it. Fucking nonsense. When I was in America for ''Dig Out Your Soul'', he swiped some off because he obviously knew he wanted to do a solo album."

Noel Gallagher has stated that the album he has made with producers Amorphous Androgynous may never be released, after he has decided he isn't happy with it.

When Gallagher announced his solo album last year, he also announced that he would be collaborating with the 'psychedelic' producers. However extensive touring has meant that he hasn't been able to spend any time on the album, and isn't happy to release it as it is.

Speaking to The Sun, gallagher said: "It was supposed to be delivered the night I did that press conference and I hadn’t been involved in any of the mixing at that point due to being busy with other things. Anyway, it was a toss-up whether to announce it in the first place, but I just thought fuck it, I've done it, let’s announce it."

"But since then I've been on the road and because of that I’ve not been in the mixing, and I’m not happy with any of the mixes. They’re going backward and forward so then the plan was to get mixing done after the tour, but this tour has gone on so long that there’s been no time, and that means looking at it next year. But by then I fear the moment may have passed."

Noel Gallagher' High Flying Birds recently announced that they would be embarking on a UK tour with Snow Patrol. Liam Gallagher caused a stir recently by referring to his brother's band as the 'High Flying Smurfs', and Snow Patrol as 'Snore-Patrol'.
