Jack Steadman of Bombay Bicycle Club and Charli XCX are amongst the musical acts set to join Damon Albarn on this year's Africa Express tour.

The tour, which will see the acts travelling by train and performing impromtu gigs in railway stations as well as traditional venues, will take in six live dates.

Joining Charli and Jack on the short jaunt will be Noisettes, Kano, Amadou & Mariam, Rokia Traoré, Baloji, Fatoumata Diawara and Jupiter & Okwess International.

Starting in Middlesbrough on September 3rd, the tour will then hit Glasgow, Manchester, Cardiff and Bristol before winding up with a special London performance in the new outdoor venue Granary Square on September 8th.
