Daughtry sings for baseball fans at New York Mets show
Former American Idol star shows newcomers how it's done
20 July, 2012: The closest thing a reality TV show in the UK has come to turning out a rock star is Frankie Cocozza. The less said about that, the better.
However, stateside, Chris Daughtry remains one of American Idol's long-running success stories - alongside the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson.
Last night in New York, Daughtry and his band took to the stage at Citi Field, the second of the Mets Concert Series, bringing live music to the stadium the New York Mets baseball team call home. Sadly, on the night, they lost 7-6 to the Dodgers.
The set included the band's breakthrough hit - 'Home', of which Daughtry said "This is the song that got me a record deal, and it's why I'm here today."
