A music industry label boss recently said that the guitar band was dead; only stuff that will get an instant return will get a deal, and because guitar bands take time to develop, labels are reluctant to sign them these days.

This made us angry. So, we decided to put together a list of reasons why guitar bands are still alive and well in 2012; from The Killers' comeback to the Bon Iver Autumn tour, the return of No Doubt to the upcoming Reading & Leeds festival - and everything in between.
