29 June, 2012: Last night, The Stone Roses made a triumphant live return to homeground as the band's reunion tour finally arrived at Manchester's Heaton Park.

It's quite a surprise there are any photos from the show at all, after photographers this week staged a boycott of the Heaton Park shows due to the demands made over image rights.

The band opened with indie classic, 'I Wanna Be Adored', with Ian Brown telling the crowd: "As you can see, we've still got it" as their early songs were met with crowd chants and singalongs.

More unforgettable Stone Roses tracks were included in the show, such as 'Fools Gold', 'Waterfall', 'She Bangs The Drums' and show closer, 'I Am The Resurrection'.

Check out photos of the Stone Roses opening night at Heaton Park right here.
