We can't lie, we think Aiden Grimshaw is bloody brilliant. One of 2012's biggest music shocks is that this 2010 X Factor flop has returned with a stunning debut album 'Misty Eye'.

Of course, a lot of people will be put off by A. the fact he was a contestant on a reality TV show and B. that he has really nice hair. He's no rock and roll icon, but as far as pop music goes, we'd take Aiden Grimshaw over a thousand Tulisas, Pitbulls and Chris Browns thank you very much.

So, in small celebration of Grimshaw and the general brilliance thereof, we present the evolution of Aiden Grimshaw - from X Factor flop to our (surprise) favourite new popstar of 2012...
