The Script's Danny O'Donoghue has admitted that he is using The Voice to help promote his band, although he is being wary not to over expose himself.

Danny, 31, is the frontman in the Irish band and spoke to Daily Star about how he felt that The Script's music was well known but that they were not recognisable as people.

“People knew The Script but not our faces so The Voice has been good for us," said Danny.

Revealing what the future holds, Danny added: “Our new album will be out in September. We’ve chosen the singles but we didn’t want to rush it off the back of the show.

Danny was left red-faced recently when Paloma Faith, who had apeared on the show alongside him, revealed that she had never met Danny before and was made to pretend to be an old friend of his.
