Swapping bands for beats: rockers who've turned to dance

As Miles Kane considers dubstep track, who else has strayed from rock and roll?

 

  • Iggy Pop: The never-clothed rocker has teamed up with US pop singer Ke$ha to record a new track for her album, after she previously snared studio time with Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips to work on their track, 'The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends'. Speaking of the Iggy collaboration, Ke$ha tweeted:

'Inlaher' rocker Miles Kane has today revealed that working with Magnetic Man star Skream on new track 'First Of My Kind' has opened his mind to attempting a dance track in the future.

He wouldn't be the first, and says he is inspired by Noel Gallagher's own foray into dance music in the late nineties. Also, just last month My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way teamed up with mouse-eared dance producer Deadmau5 on his new track, 'Professional Grievers'.

So as Kane considers a new sound for his future music, check out the stars who have strayed from rock and roll...
