Charlie Simpson has come a long way since his days in Busted and he is now set to add actor to a CV that already has numerous musical excursions on it.

The singer/ songwriter is set to star in In God We Trust, an independent film made by his former Fighstar pals Dan Haigh and Alex Westaway. The movie sees Charlie Simpson play a covert operations interrogator in an ambitious project that was created for the small sum of £1,200. While the film was created with costs amounting to less than that of a second hand car, the trailer is an excellent example of content made by a new wave of filmmakers who are reaching Hollywood-level production values, usually reserved for projects with multi-million dollar budgets.
