The most depressing thing about putting together a rundown of the worst singles of 2012 (so far) is how many of them have been massive hits - in the UK and beyond.

What follows may be the worst collection of music you have ever experienced - so don't say we didn't warn you. We applaud anyone who makes it through the full twenty. From painfully beige guitar tracks to identikit r&b and dance tracks, this collection shows how terrible music has become in 2012. We hope you don't enjoy a single moment of it.
