The most unlikely music collaborations

Gerard Way and Deadmau5 duet, who else has strayed from rock?

  • Weezer & Lil Wayne - 'Can't Stop Partying': American alt-rockers meet the unique stylings of Lil Wayne for the ridiculous track 'Can't Stop Partying'. It sounds more like a Rebecca Black reject than anything remotely worthy of either artist. Get your ear plugs in!

Despite Deadmau5's recent outburst against dance producers teaming up with big name artists, he has this week unveiled a collaboration with My Chemical Romance singer, Gerard Way. As it turns out, 'Professional Grievers' is pretty damn good. Have a listen here.

But Gerard Way isn't the first to stray from his home territory, and this is far from the most unusual collaboration in the music world. Countless rockers seem to harbour dance leanings, while just as many just can't wait to recorda hip hop track.

Some of these are great, others just grate - but they're all very odd indeed. Check out some of the strangest collaborations in music.
