The term Super Group was coined in the late '60s to describe the meetings of different musical minds, and the music that was often conceived between them.
From the earliest jam packs of the '60s including 'The Dirty Mac' which consisted of Eric Clapton, John Legend and Keith Richards through to last year's 'SuperHeavy' featuring Damian Marley, Dave Stewart, Joss Stone and Mick Jagger – Super Groups have brought together musicians from all genres and every walk of life.
Earlier today (Tuesday), Blur's Damon Albarn and Red Hot Chilli Peppers' Tony Allen's supergroup 'Rocketjuice And The Moon' and released their debut single 'Hey Shooter'.
