Twitter is a funny old thing, which most of us at first scorned but are now finally getting to grips with. This year we've had Simon Cowell and Gary Barlow amongst others jump on the tweeting bandwagon only to provide the world much amusement.

The website is perhaps one of the best ways to keep track of breaking news and to gain valuable insight into the everyday lives of revered musical artists and idols.

However mostly the website just descends into socialite bitching with everyone@ing each other to call them silly names, as in the case of Simon Cowell vs. Piers Morgan.
