A new survey has suggested that British Facebook members are inebriated in up to seventy six per cent of every photograph shown on the social network site.

Carried out by MyMemory.com, the study involved 1,781 Facebook users from all over the UK.

The study found that the UK's adult Facebook users were drunk in three out of every four images that they were tagged in.

Rebecca Huggler of MyMemory.com, said in a statement: "We're all guilty of going out and having a good time, but nowadays the photos inevitably catch up with us online, so we wanted to look at how much these photos dominate our presence on social media sites."

She did add, however, that most of the photos were taken on special occassions, such as at parties or family reunions.

Another fact that came to light was that 93 per cent of UK Facebook users admitted to deleting tags on those images considered as compromising and "embarassing."
