After nine hour delay...
Microsoft has announced that the dashboard update for the XBox 360 has finally gone live.
The update was supposed to be launched at 3.00pm GMT yesterday (Dec 6), but ended up being delayed by nine hours following unspecified issues.
Tweeting in the earl hours of the morning, marketing manager Graham Boyd said: "Right folks, sorry for the delay and thanks for your patience, but the dash update is now on its way to you."
The new dashboard incorporates the Metro panel seen on Windows Phone and Windows 8 operating systems.
Channels can be navigated using a controller, Kinect or voice control, which is integrated into its new Bing search function.
A number of entertainment apps will also be available over the coming months, including LOVEFiLM, YouTube and BBC programming.
