November 30 2011 - Last night marked the opening concert for the nominations of the 54th iteration of the Grammy Awards with performances on the night from Lady Gaga, Grandmaster Flash, LL Cool J and Lupe Fiasco.
As for the nominations Kanye West picked up a record 7 nods (despite not turning up), Adele (surprise surprise) is up for six including best album, best song and so on. The full list of nominations are as follows:
Radiohead and Rihanna also have been nominated in four categories, while Coldplay, Minaj and Lady GaGa have each have three nominations.
The 54th Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on February 12, 2012
