Kurt Cobain, Bono, Freddie Mercury: The Greatest Frontmen Of All Time

Singing, strutting and not a lady in sight, unless it's a groupie...

Frontmen are often the make or break factor within a band perhaps destined to be compiled within "the all time halls of fame". Badly behaved, well behaved, iconic or controversial they are all in here.

All the way from Johnny Rotten, to Prince, to Kurt Cobain, the question could be asked exactly what is it that these masculine characters have in common. Charisma would be the answer; alongside the strength to grab peoples attention only to channel it through a musical medium. Some of them went off the rails, but then again we all have a bad day in the office now and again don't we?

Make sure you vote in our poll to have your say on the greatest frontman of all time and earn your hero a place in the Gigwise top charts...
