REM are set to include three new songs on their forthcoming greatest hits album.

The record, which is due out on November 14, will be the band's last release following their split earlier this month.

The new songs - ‘Hallelujah’, ‘We All Go Back To Where We Belong’ and ‘A Month of Saturdays’ - were recorded this summer with producer Jacknife Lee.

The retrospective album, entitled ‘REM, Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage, 1982 – 2011’, feature more than three decades of the band's music.

Earlier this week, bassist Mike Mills confirmed that the group had split and had no plans to ever reform.
