Doctor Who Christmas Special: Photos From The Set

Shooting has commenced on this year's Doctor Who Christmas Special.

Starring Matt Smith, the story sees the Doctor going back in time to World War II era Britain, where he embarks on a magical and mysterious adventure with a young widow and her two children.

Shooting has been taking place in Cardiff, Wales, where the majority of the series is filmed.

Meanwhile, the final episode of the current series of Doctor Who, The Wedding of River Song, airs this Saturday on BBC One.
