Coldplay have announced today (August 12) that their forthcoming new album 'Mylo Xyloto' will be released on October 24.
The band's first album since 2008's 'Viva La Vida, Or Death And All His Friends', will be released in digital, CD and vinyl formats this autumn via EMI.
A special limited edition Pop-Up Album version will also be available, which will include a hardback book containing graffiti pop-up art designed by David A. Carter, vinyl, CD and exclusive content including photographs.
To celebrate the new release, Gigwise have collected together a series of facts about the band, from their humble beginnings at university in London, the band's name changes, costume designs, surprise singles through to their 'secret' member and band democracy.
Stay tuned to Gigwise for all the latest coverage for ‘Mylo Xyloto’ - and don’t forget to let us know your thoughts about the record when the album's officially released.
