The nominations for this year’s Mercury Prize will be announced in London on Tuesday (July 20) – and so on Gigwise we’ve put together a run-down of the possible nominees.

The nominations are chosen by a panel of figures in the music industry, including numerous musicians, journalists, and music executives in the UK and Ireland.

So far PJ Harvey is the favourite to win this year's Mercury Prize for her album, 'Let England Shake', closely followed behind with Adele for her album ‘21’, with the odds for her at 5/1.

Other artists shortlisted include: The Horrors, who are 10/1, Tinie Tempah is 20/1, Jessie J and Radiohead are both 33/1.

Head back to Gigwise next week for all the reaction to this year's list of twelve nominees.
