June 23 2011 – The countdown to this year's Glastonbury Festival has finally reached its climax.

Thousands of music fans were on site on Thursday – a day before the festival officially gets under way – and spent much of their time battling the heavy mud triggered by seven days of rain fall at Worthy Farm in Somerset.
