Prince has accused the organisers of the Glastonbury Festival of using his name falsely to help sell tickets.
In an interview with The Guardian, the singer said he had never been approached, despite annual rumours linking him to a headline slot at the Somerset bash.
"They use my name to sell the festival," he said. "It's illegal. I've never spoken to anyone about doing that concert, ever."
Prince's comments come as thousands of festival-goers are arriving at Worthy Farm for this year's event, which will be headlined by Coldplay, U2 and Beyonce.
