June 10 2011 – The Isle Of Wight festival gets under way as thousands of music fans arrive in Newport.
Big Country and We Are Scientists were among the early performers on day one, which will be headlined by Kings Of Leon.
Other acts due to appear on the main stage are Band Of Horses, The Courteeners and Kaiser Chiefs. Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Eliza Doolittle and Imelda May are also on the bill.
