May 9 2011 – The annual Sony Radio Awards took place at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.
Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood was named the Music Radio Personality of the Year, beating fellow nominees Chris Moyles, Jarvis Cocker, Frank Skinner and Scott Mills.
Danny Baker won the prize for Speech Radio Personality of the Year, while football pundit Richard Bacon, Robbie Savage, Simon Mayo and Jeremy Vine also took home awards. Annie Nightingale was given a special award to mark her 40 years' service at Radio 1.
