Linda McCartney was widely regarded as one of the leading music photographers in the late 1960s, and this week sees the release of a new book, Linda McCartney: Life In Photographers, which captures some of her most famous work.
The late wife of Sir Paul McCartney, who helped compile the book, Linda spent much of her career shooting the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and The Who.
To mark the book's release, Gigwise has been granted an exclusive look at Linda's work - our picture gallery includes candid shots of Sir Paul, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Eric Clapton and Steve McQueen.
Sir Paul said: "From the early days I have very much admired her photography and being able to experience it personally only added to my feelings of admiration.”
Linda McCartney: Life in Photographs, £44.99, is published by TASCHEN and is available at www.taschen.com.
