- Green Day American Idiot Musical Tickets Sales Plummet As Billie Joe Armstrong Leaves - Ticket sales for the Broadway production American Idiot plummeted following Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong’s departure from the show.The frontman has just finished a second stint in the musical, which tells the story of the band’s career. The production will close in April.
