So today has seen the return of Lady Gaga, whose single 'Born This Way' hit the web this morning ahead of it's official release.
For an artist who was a complete unknown a little over two years ago, the song is a thunderous return, echoing Madonna but sounding 100% Lady Gaga at the same time.
To mark the singer's comeback (although, has she really even been away?), Gigwise has cast our eyes back over Lady Gaga's intriguing life story, from her upbringing as Stefani Germanotta in New York to her current position as the most important pop star on the planet, complete with meat dresses, Monster Balls and everything in between.
