Who Needs Guns N' Roses? Music Stars Go Gaga For Glee

Maybe Slash should re-think...

  • Lady Gaga - Producers scored a home run when they secured the rights to use Lady Gaga’s music on the first season. Her hits appeared throughout the show, with the star admitting herself that she “loved” the show. “I went to a musical theatre school, and used to dream that someday the students would be singing my songs,” she revealed.

Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash has revealed that the band turned down the opportunity for their music to be used on the hit US show Glee.

Like Kings Of Leon last year, Slash didn't believe their music worked with the programme, which tells the story of a fictional high school singing club.

But they're in the minority. Since it launched in 2009, Glee has become an unstoppable machine within the music industry, featuring songs from everyone from Lady Gaga to Madonna.

The show has also seen cameos from Britney Spears and Gwyneth Paltrow, who sang a cover of Cee Lo Green's 'F*ck You'.

You can re-live those and all the other best hook-ups in our round-up below.
