Snow is falling and mince pies are flying off the shelves across the globe, which can mean only one this: it's Christmas.

Always an interesting time of year in the charts, 2010 is no different with a host of acts, including Slipknot's Corey Taylor, Coldplay and The Killers, all launching bids for that coveted Christmas number one spot.

    • Not a bad list. However, you missed the Prentenders' "have yourself a merry little christmas", beautifully melancholic. And that you don't have Run DMC's "Christmastime in Hollis Queens" on this list is a travesty. Top 5, yes, I said it, top 5 of all time. Also, anything Andy Williams.

    • Anyone who thinks that U2's version of Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) is better than the Darlene Love original has ears of cloth. Similarly whilst I love Bing and Frank, the Otis Redding take on 'White Christmas' makes any other version virtually redundant.
