The Prodigy's hit song 'Smack My Bitch Up' has been named the most controversial song of all time in a new survey.

The track beat 'God Save The Queen' by The Sex Pistols into second place, while Frankie Goes To Hollywood's 'Relax' was third.

The Prodigy's 1997 song was condemned by women's rights groups and banned by the BBC.

The top-5 was completed by Eminem's 'Kim' and 'Killing In the Name' by Rage Against The Machine at number four and five respectively.

The survey, conducted by the Performing Rights Society (PRS), polled more than 1,700 people on their most controversial song.
