As MC Hammer takes a pop at Jay-Z over the rapper's verse in Kanye West's new song, Gigwise has taken a look at some of the most memorable Twitter feuds.

Since the social network was conceived, it's become an unassuming soap box for music stars to vent their anger.

And in Gigwise's new feature, we've recalled some of the best, featuring the likes of Justin Bieber, Lily Allen, Courtney Love, 50 Cent, Foals, Lostprophets and Travis Barker.

There is also a particularly special Twitter rant from Axl Rose, who managed to write a 787 word tweet condemning the media, and Justin Bieber, who revealed the contact details of his "worst enemy" online.
