September 3 2010 - The Electric Picnic festival gets under way in the stunning ground of Stradbally Hall in Ireland.

The opening day of the music and arts festival saw performances from Roxy Music, PiL and Janelle Monae.

Hurts, Foals, Chew Lips and Joe Echo also thrilled festival-goers with stand-out sets. You can see highlights from each day of this year’s Electric Picnic on Gigwise throughout the weekend.

Other acts due to appear include Leftfield, The National, LCD Soundsystem, Mumford & Sons and Modest Mouse.
