- JLS fully deserved all the credit they got..Who else do you think should have won the likes of best single? Cheryl Cole, who only mimes? They have worked harder than anyone they we're nominated against and deserved to be rewarded for this..

- I'm not trying to be funny but who really cares about the NME Awards being predictable?

- surely an awards ceremony that celebrates popular culture should be predictable? isn't that the point?

- Not to repeat other comments here, but of course they give awards to people they feature in the magazine, that would be the demographic they aspire to please. Who did you really expect it to win? This article reads as if you believe NME has any credibility with regards to music - do you know anyone who buys/reads it? I think it's safe to say NME has been irrelevant for years, constantly backing lowest-common denominator music in the hopes of grabbing the largets market share they can.
