Twilight star Robert Pattinson has said his appearance on the original film's soundtrack made him feel like a “complete tosser”.
The British actor, who played Edward Cullen in the 2008 film, compared his position to Eminem.
The rapper famously accompanied his role in the 2002 biographical movie 8 Mile with a prominent appearance on the film's score.
In an interview with The Age, Pattinson said: "When the first film came out I felt like a complete tosser.
“It looked like I was trying to be cool or something, like Eminem. You know, be in a movie and then do a song for the soundtrack.
“But I didn't look cool, I just looked ridiculous."
Pattinson, who has previously described Eminem as his hero, admitted that he “understood” music better than acting.
"With acting, a lot of the time you're doing scenes you don't really relate to and you don't really know why you're being cast half the time," he said.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Pattinson will not feature on the soundtrack to the second installment of The Twilight Saga, New Moon.
The score, which is released next month, instead features songs by Thom Yorke, Muse and Editors.
