Simpson creator Matt Groening will curate the first weekend of ATP 2010 in Minehead, it's been confirmed.
A statement on the All Tomorrow's Parties website reads:
“To continue the celebrations of our 10 Years of ATP we are thrilled to have one of our previous curators from across the Atlantic back to provide curatorial duties in the UK. Matt Groening, genius behind the Simpsons and Futurama returns after his amazing 2003 festival at The Queen Mary, Long Beach, California to curate ATP UK Weekend 1 on May 7th – 9th.”
At his Long Beach curated ATP, Groening drafted in the likes of The Mars Volta, The Shins, Deerhoof, Cat Power, Sonic Youth and Modest Mouse for the weekend.
Tickets for the first weekend of ATP 2010 cost £160 - £170 and go on sale from 9am this coming Friday (October 16).
As announced last week, the recently reformed Pavement will curate the second weekend of ATP on May 14th – 16th.
