Marilyn Manson Concert Besieged By Christian Protesters

Christians came out in their droves to protest outside a Marilyn Manson concert in California on Tuesday night.

Demonstrators gathered outside the recently re-opened Pomona Fox Theater in Los Angeles County waiving placards and chanting pro-Christian messages.

One of the protesters, 65-year-old Rod Warner, told the San Bernardino Sun: "The only thing I'm out here to accomplish is what the lord, Jesus Christ, through my belief, tells me to accomplish. And that's take his gospel to the lost.

"Every shirt you see here depicts nothing but death. They can say they're Christians if they want to, but the Lord says worship me with your heart not your mouth."

Placards signs included messages that read 'Trust Jesus, Repent: Read The Bible' and 'Study and Obey the Bible - Matthew 7:21.'

Marilyn Manson fan 19-year-old Cesar Haro was unimpressed with the protests, saying: a. "We think arguing with these people is cool ... but we do think it's very disrespectful, though.

“We have the right to be here for what we paid. They're disrespecting our area and our right to be here."

Despite the protests, the show went ahead as scheduled and even featured a surprise appearance from Slayer's Kerry King.

In 1998, English rockers Cradle of Filth headed to Rome for a show and decided to have a day trip to the Vatican. Never ones to shy away from controversy, the band members were adorning 'I Love Satan' t-shirts at the time. Within moments they were surrounded by armed Italian police who were outraged. Singer Dani Filth produced his laminate stage pass to prove his identity but it rubbed salt into the wound as it depicted a bloodied female figure nailed to the cross. They were detained for an hour for questioning but were eventually set free to perform their gig.

Most of these folks are anti-Christian. Where's the anti-Islamic stuff? Or are these "artists" too afraid to lash out at people they know would try to kill them for it? True courage, certainly, picking on people who will only picket and therefore drive album sales. It's all a sham and a pretence and these hucksters are as money-driven as any televangelist.

These are the wolves who have adorned the 'forgiveness' of God to rape a world of sheep. They're inane and very vocal. They intrude on the rights of other's to believe what they want. Crusades anyone?
