    Exactly 40 years ago on Saturday (August 8), John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison stepped out in unison onto the zebra crossing outside Abbey Road Studios in North London. History was made. The photograph, taken by Iain MacMillan, became one of the most famous, parodied and talked-about album covers of all time when 'Abbey Road' was released the following month.     • This LP was put out by Stax, the label that gave the world Otis Redding,Sam and Dave, Issac Hayes and many others.Booker T and the MGs were the back-up band.The Beatles were huge fans of Booker T and the MGs. The sent a limo to meet them when they did their 1967 Euro tour. McLemore Avenue is where the Stax studio was located(you can see it in the upper left) $20 says both Paul and Ringo played this LP within the last 6 months.The cover shows the reality of Memphis's inner-city.

    • The sheepdog in pic #9 is Paul's dog Martha, who's name was used in Paul's song "Martha My Dear" on the Bealtes' White Album.
