Pink Floyd: 'Goodbye Blue Sky' - A second entry for Pink Floyd, this time seeing them chastise the negative effect war has on children. In a brief prologue, birds are heard chirping peacefully. The sound of approaching bombers catches the attention of a child, who states quite innocently "Look mummy, there's an aeroplane up in the sky". The implications of this scene are disturbing if obvious. Children are innocent in war, yet always bear the brunt of it. The lyrics go on to describe the memory of the Blitz.“Did you hear the frightened ones? The falling bombs? The flames are all long gone but the pain lingers on.”
