Paris Hilton: 'Michael Jackson Named His Daughter After Me'

Paris Hilton has claimed Michael Jackson named his 11-year-old daughter Paris Katherine after her.

The socialite told Extra Jackson, who died last month, had become “best friends” with her mother after the pair went to school together.

"I grew up knowing Michael very well and when he had his daughter, he always loved the name Paris and grew up being an uncle to me," Hilton said.

"So he asked my mum if it was okay, and of course she said yes, and I think she's such a beautiful little girl and I'm proud we have the same name."

Despite Hilton's claims that the singer was, like, her uncle, she was among the invited guests at Jackson's memorial earlier this month.

Instead, she wrote on Twitter: "In tears watching the MJ Memorial Service on TV, so touching. Everyone loves you Michael!"

Jackson's daughter paid an emotional farewell to her late father at his memorial service in Los Angeles.

The singer has two other children: Prince Michael, 12, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II, also known as Blanket.
