Michael Jackson: The Final Rehearsal Photos

The last pictures of Michael Jackson performing, taken during rehearsals for his comeback gigs, have been released.

The two images show the singer rehearsing at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last Tuesday – just two days before his death.

Jackson can be seen in one picture striking a familiar dance pose, while the other shows him wearing a see-through purple jacket.

The dress rehearsal, which went on into the early hours of the morning, featured Jackson's full band, dance troupe and stage set.

Jackson died on Thursday at his home in Los Angeles of a suspected heart attack. He was due to begin his shows in London next month.
