Madonna has said she “can’t stop crying” over the death of Michael Jackson, the King of Pop.
The singer, dubbed the Queen of Pop, said in a statement to People that she had always admired the star.
“The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever,” she said.
“My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless."
Madonna joins a growing list of musicians and celebrities who have paid their tributes to Jackson, who died this afternoon (June 25) of a heart attack in Los Angeles.
In a message on Twitter, Britney Spears said Jackson was “a wonderful man and will be greatly missed”.
